• E-Plane – Easy Plane

  The description of orientation of a rectangular tube bend. I.e., bending a 2” x 3” tube against the 3” side.

• Elongation

  This refers to the increase in length which occurs before a metal is fractured, when subjected to stress. Usually expressed as a percentage of the original length and is a measure of the ductility of the metal.

• End Forming

  Altering the shape of the end of a tube to allow a slip fit to mate with another tube of same of different size.
